CReactive Protein is a blood protein which increases in levels due to inflammation in the body.

  • Cardiovascular

  • Alzheimer’s Disease

  • Pulmonary Diseases

  • Arthritis

  • Autoimmune Diseases

  • Neurological Diseases

  • Diabetes

  • Certain types of cancer

What is low grade inflammation?

Most of the time, inflammation is a lifesaver because it enables your body to fend off various disease-causing bacteria, viruses and parasites. The instant any of these deadly microbes enters your body, your defenses destroy them by a process known as inflammation.

Once the invading microbes are killed, the inflammation process shuts down and healing begins.

Every once in a while, however, the whole feverish production doesn’t shut down on cue. The inflammation becomes chronic rather than transitory. When that occurs, the body turns on itself with devastating consequences.

It can linger for years, silently and insidiously damaging organs and body tissues. This organ and tissue damage then leads to chronic diseases.

Symptoms of low grade inflammation can include:

  • Weight gain

  • Low energy levels

  • Poor concentration

  • Unexplained illness

  • Premature aging

What is included in the test kit?

  • Lancet for pricking the finger

  • Bulbous head capillary tube for drawing up the blood sample

  • Blood collection tube

  • Transportation bottle to protect the blood sample in the blood collection tube during transportation

  • Elastoplast to cover the wound
